Presentation of the letters of credence by the Ambassador of Armenia to Canada

On July 9, 2019, His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimyan, Primate, upon the invitation of Her Excellency Anahit Harutyunyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Canada, attended the Ceremony of the presentation of letters of credence to Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, held at the Citadelle of Quebec.

Upon their arrival in Canada, and before they can carry out their duties as heads of mission, new ambassadors must be officially welcomed by the governor general of Canada. Letters of credence are the official documents by which new heads of diplomatic missions are presented by their head of State as their official representative.
