Khachik, Nor Aznaberd and Khndzorut are bordering rural communities of Vayots Dzor region of Armenia. Living in these communities is quite a challenge for local inhabitants. To confront these challenges it is very important to have care and support not only from the State, but also from the Armenian Diaspora.

It has been four years since the Canadian Armenian Diocese first introduced the Christmas Gift Program for kids living in bordering villages of Vayots Dzor. The Program is administered by the Diocesan Children’s Fund For Armenia (CFFA). Every year, the CFFA organizes a fundraising from coast to coast across Canada and with blessings of the Diocesan Primate, His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimyan, transfers the funds to local families.

On December 26 2018, about 300 kids received their gifts from the Diocese of Vayots Dzor, which ensures local administration of distribution of the gifts.
