The Children’s Fund for Armenia (CFFA) was established in 1990 with the purpose of helping those children who became orphans because of the 1988 Earthquake and, subsequently because of the Artsakh war.

In the course of time it has become obvious that the mission of CFFA will require some changes. Since 2015 it has been focusing on supporting the children of needy families living in the villages of the region of Vayots Dzor, at the border with Nakhichevan.

The CFFA operates under the presidency of His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Canada, and it is administered by a self-governing committee composed of Mrs. Marguerite Kazarian, Chairperson, Mrs. Shushan Arisyan, Secretary, Mrs. Taline Tanashian, Treasurer, Mrs. Houri Hakimian, Fundraiser, Mrs. Hilda Tursucu, Advisor, Mrs. Mirna Balian, Advisor, Mrs. Anita Hyrapet, British Columbia Liaison, and Mrs. Diana Boghosian, Ontario Liaison.

The CFFA Committee organizes pan-Canadian annual fundraising campaigns, Christmas children celebration events, and in collaboration with the Armenian Diocese of Vayots Dzor supports needy families living in rural areas.
