Two houses of worship were blessed in Armenia last weekend. In the northern village of Chkalov, a small chapel was re-consecrated on Saturday, October 20, by Bishop Sebouh Chuljyan, the Primate of Lori and Tavoush. Built in 1862, the chapel of Sourp Asdvadzadzin was recently restored thanks to the generosity of Karen Saribekyan, a member of Armenia’s National Assembly.

In the western province of Armavir, in the village of Aghvanatun, the newly built St. Anna Church was consecrated on Sunday, October 21, by Bishop Sion Adamian, Primate of the Armavir Diocese. Construction of the church was underwritten by Vahan Avagian of Moscow, Russia, who was presented with the “St. Gregory the Illuminator Medal” on this occasion.
