On May 25, 2019, His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimyan, during the 36th Annual Diocesan Assembly of the Armenian Diocese of Canada, hosted by St. Mesrob Armenian Church of Ottawa, has been re-elected as Primate of the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church Canadian Diocese.
