His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, Primate of the Canadian Diocese of the Armenian Church celebrated Divine Liturgy at St. James Armenian Apostolic Church in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the invitation of Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian.

Bishop Galstanian was assisted at the holy altar by Rev. Fr. Haroutioun Tachejian, Pastor of St. James Armenian Church and the parish deacons. Archpriest Fr. Dr. Zaven Arzoumanian also participated in the service.

The Primate of the Diocese of Canada was introduced to the parishioners of St. James by their Pastor, Rev. Fr. Haroutioun Tachejian who welcomed him on behalf of Archbishop Hovnan Derderian. In his sermon, our Primate noted the importance of remaining steadfast in the Christian faith. He commended the collective efforts of all organizations of St. James Armenian Church in Los Angeles in bringing prosperity to the Parish and spreading the light of the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the hearts of the community faithful.

At the conclusion of the service, a reception was held at the Gogian Hall of the church.
