On the feast of glorious Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ, Holy Divine Liturgy was celebrated in Montreal St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Cathedral. The celebrant was Rev. Father Vazgen Boyajyan, Pastor. Deacons and acolytes served the holy altar and the Komitas choir led by maestro deacon Varuzhan Margaryan sang the Divine Liturgy, with the musical accompaniment of Mrs. Houry Bedrossian on the organ. In his sermon, Father Boyajyan spoke about the feast of Holy Nativity. Der Hayr, congratulated the parishioners and wished them well in the coming year filled with the grace and blessing of our heavenly Father. Following the Liturgy, the traditional blessing of water took place. This year’s cross bearer was Dr. Sero Andonian. The day before, on the eve of Armenian Christmas, His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian celebrated Holy Divine Liturgy in the Montreal Cathedral.
In LAVAL’S Holy Cross Parish the festive spirit on the occasion of the Holy Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ was formidable. Divine Liturgy was celebrated on the Christmas Eve and the feast of Holy Nativity on January 6, 2012 at St. Martin Catholic Church. The celebrant was Reverend Father Komitas Mirzakhanyan, Pastor. The godfather for the blessing of water ceremony was Mr. Aris Tutunciyan.
In VANCOUVER’S St. Vartan Church the feast of the Holy Nativity was celebrated on Friday, January 6, 2012. Reverend Father Keghart Garabedian, Pastor was the celebrant with the assistance of the deacons and the acolytes of the Church. Maestro Armen Martirosyan was the godfather surrounded by the choir members and the congregation. The next Sunday, following the Divine Liturgy, Christmas luncheon was served and Sunday school students made a presentation organized by Emma Martirosian.
