Once again, after nearly ten years Camp Ararat is happy to welcome back exemplary campers and CITs who are ready to contribute to their community and the Armenian-Canadian youth while forming lasting bonds with their peers.  Our leadership counts members from all parts of Canada with backgrounds in teaching and child counseling, scouts, nutrition, leadership training, Emergency First Aid Response teaching.  A full time registered nurse is available 24 hours a day to tend to any medical needs. We also certify the entire staff with CPR and First Aid training and help our Lifeguards maintain their NLS status. Safety is foremost therefore evacuation and emergency procedures are reviewed and displayed in each location while three hospitals and two medical clinics are within the area.

On January 28th, 2012 the Camp Ararat Board of Directors was delighted to begin planning the 2012 Camp Ararat week of August 20th-25th with his Grace Bishop Bagrat Galistanian, who has always fully supports the worthy project. Also in attendance were Rev. Fr. Myron Sarkissian, our camp clergy, as well as, via Skype, Rev. Fr. Komitas Mirzakhanyan and Hilda Tursucuyan-Cakar from the Quebec parish. Discussions centered on the limited availability of dates at Wesley Acres all be it the ideal location, setting and facility for the Camp Ararat family. It was agreed to form a committee to research land to purchase. Further, together we determined the Armenian theme for this year and possible topics for group projects. Finally all mailings went out and Der Myron reported updates for the new website and facebook pages which are monitored very closely for membership and content.
