His Eminence Bagrat Galstanian visited Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday, September 22, 2012.  The Primate had the pleasure to see the new Armenian school of Edmonton and had a great meeting with the students and their parents where he took the opportunity to speak of the significance of the spiritual, historical and cultural role of Armenian language for young Canadian Armenians.

Church Service was conducted at 6 pm at Christ Church of Edmonton 12116 – 102 Avenue. Following the Church Service, the community celebrated the 21st. Anniversary of the Independence of Armenia.  Mr. Arthur Grigoryan, a graduate of University of Yerevan, presented a review of the historical and political developments leading up to Armenia’s Independence, following which; a round table discussion took place with community members sharing their thoughts and opinions. It was memorable day for everyone!

In addition, Bishop Galstanian visited Calgary and celebrated the feast of the Holy Cross. An enthusiastic crowd of parishioners had gathered for the occasion despite the fact that it was a week day.  Mariam and Shahan Papazian requested the blessing of their new born daughter Lara, by His Eminence.
