On Sunday, February 26, 2012, Parish priest of St. Vartan Armenian Church of Mississauga, Rev. Fr. Myron Sarkissian celebrated the Divine Liturgy. The ceremony was presided by His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, Primate of the Armenian Church of Canada. Following the Divine Liturgy memorial service was held in Memory of the late members of Mississauga ARS-ՀՕՄ “Aragast” chapter. The Second Sunday of the Great Lent, Sunday of Expulsion was announced as “Family Prayer Sunday” for the St. Vartan parish. During his sermon, Der Myron asked the faithful to join our Church life.

Following the services the Parish held its Annual General Meeting with the presence of 65% of its members. Primate Bishop Bagrat Galstanian presided over the meeting. The chairwoman of AGM was Mrs. Julia Doumanian and Secretary Saro Khatchadourian. During the meeting the auxiliary bodies of St. Vartan Parish presented their 2011 reports, followed by nominations and elections. The Parish Council of St. Vartan Parish increased to 9 members. His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian congratulated the attendees for a productive year and a successful meeting and encouraged the parishioners to commit to a plan and construct own church starting in 2012.
Following the meeting, most attendees lingered around and continued the discussions of the day to strengthen the community and St. Vartan Church.
