On Saturday, January 5, 2013 St. Vartan Armenian Apostolic Church Pastor accompanied by deacons, choir members led by Arman Hovsepyan and faithful celebrated the Christmas Eve Divine Liturgy.
Archpriest, Rev. Keghart delivered a message titled “Magi, Herod the king, the chief priests, scribes and the Shepherds characters with nowadays people and their understandings of Christmas”.
On Sunday, January 6 Rev. Keghart Garabedian celebrated the Epiphany Divine Liturgy and the Blessing of the Water ceremony, which symbolizes the Baptism and the Revelation of Christ’s Divinity, accompanied by acolytes, deacons, choir members led by Arman Hovsepyan. The godfather of this year was Mr. Seruje Stamboliants a member in the Church choir.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Rev. Keghart read the Christmas message of His Holiness Karekin II Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians. Father Keghart delivered a message from Titus 2.11-15 explaining how Christians need to live their life.
Following the Church Service, a luncheon was served at Setrak Kalpakian hall. On this occasion there were guests from Chinese Christian Fellowship Church who were invited to be present at the Armenian Christmas celebration.
During the luncheon Santa Clause came and distributed gifts to the kids.
