Friday, November 4, marked the 12th anniversary of the consecration and enthronement of His Holiness Karekin II as the 132nd Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.
In Armenia that weekend, clergy, government representatives, and dignitaries visiting Holy Etchmiadzin from around the world celebrated the occasion, which also happen to fall on the 60th birthday celebration of His Holiness Karekin II. As part of the celebration on Sunday, November 6, His Holiness elevated six clergy to the episcopate of the Armenian Church.
On this auspicious occasion, commemorated by the entire Armenian Church, the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Canada was represented by Primate, Bishop Bagrat Galstanian and the Vice Chair of the Diocesan Council Mr. Mgo Kanondjian, who conveyed the respects, love and good wishes of the faithful of the Canadian Diocese to His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.
