On March 9th, 2012, Junior ACYOC members and friends were ready to start their trip to Blue Mountain.

Twenty-six youth and four chaperones left Toronto to head to Collingwood, for three fun filled days with snow, ski and still some more snow! As one can imagine, a bus ride full of teenagers is exciting enough, and once we all arrived at Tyrolean Village; everyone could hardly wait to get a start on the weekend! Following an ACYOC tradition, this annual event was much anticipated by both the new and former members of Jr. ACYOC.

The fundamental purpose of ACYOC is to bring together the Armenian youth and promote their involvement in the community, and this event did just that. New friendships, along with everlasting memories were made in those three days and look ahead in excitement for Jr. ACYOC’s next event. Filled with skiing, shopping and much, much laughter, once again this year, the Jr. ACYOC ski retreat was of great success.

On behalf of the committee, we would like to thank the chaperones, Talar Yardemian, Mark Karabulut, Jen Boyd, and Argin Malakian for dedicating their time to help with the weekend and special appreciation to the Holy Trinity Armenian Church for their support.
