On Sunday, December 9, 2012 Montreal Armenian community celebrated the 42nd Anniversary of St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral.
On this occasion, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, Primate. A special requiem service was held in memory of the late Archbishop Vazken Keshishian, first primate of the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church of Canada, also in memory of all the pastors, benefactors, and members who had served for the well-being of our Church.
Following the Divine Liturgy, the celebration continued in Marie Manoogian hall of the church, where a reception-banquet was held. A wonderful musical program took place with the performance of Alexan Haroutyunyan, singer and pianist, accompanied by his wife Henrieta Haroutyunyan. Also, performing on this occasion were Roupen Gosemyan, violinist, and Nathalie.
On that day, His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, Primate and Rev. Father Vazgen Boyajyan, Pastor presented special awards to families who actively participated in the life of our church. The award winning families are: Mr. & Mrs. Sarkis & Jeanette Demirdjian, Mr. & Mrs. Asbed & Mirna Bajakian, Mr. & Mrs. Krikor & Julia Admajlian.
