On October 19, 2012 Dr. John Manoukian was presented with the Best Program Director of the Year Award, from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Manoukian has been the Program Director of the Head and Neck Department at McGill University since 2006.
This award was established to recognize a program director who has demonstrated a commitment to enhancing residency education as evidenced by innovation and impact beyond his program. Dr. Manoukian was selected from among a field of over 750 outstanding candidates from across the country in a broad range of specialties. The award recognizes two recipients each year, and Dr. Karen Finlay of McMaster University was the other recipient for 2012.
Celebrating this honor with him at the banquet in Ottawa, were his wife, Sossi Manoukian and his children Michael and Valentina.
