20130305B0On Saturday, February 23, 2013 Women’s Guild Central Council organized Prayer Day for families under the auspices of His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, Primate of the Canadian Diocese. The event was hosted by Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church of Toronto. In attendance were Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Pastor of Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church of Toronto, Rev. Fr. Myron Sarkissian, Pastor of St. Vartan Armenian Church of Mississauga, Deacon Nurhan Ipekcian, Holy Trinity Armenian Church Women’s Guild Executive Committee members, community members, and St. Sahag – St. Mesrob Armenian Saturday School’s grade 7 & 8 teachers and students.

20130305B1It was a spiritual event dedicated to sanctity and re-enforcement for strengthening of families. In his inspirational message, Bishop Bagrat Galstanian stressed out that one of the real challenges we often face in our busy lives is finding time to be together as a family.  He underlined the unique and invaluable role parents have played in the history and their current role in the 21st century. The Bishop stated that in today’s world, we must work even harder to preserve the traditions of our culture.

A20130305B2ll the attendees joined in prayer for God’s protection upon families, friends and everyone. “Bless each family here, God of wonder; remind them daily that they belong to you. Send your Spirit on each family member, small and large, that they might know your presence as they live their trust in you. Amen”

In conclusion, Bishop Bagrat Galstanian commended the Pastors, the organizing committee and the event participants.
