I1The 90th Annual Parish Assembly of Holy Trinity Armenian Church took place on Sunday, March 3, 2013. His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, Primate, opened the meeting with prayer at 2:20 pm.  As the Chairman of the 2012 Parish Assembly, Mr. Ara Boyajian welcomed all Parish members.

Members of the Women’s Guild had prepared light refreshments for the membership so that the meeting could take place after Divine Liturgy, and were on hand to offer coffee and beverages during the entire meeting.

Church Secretary Diana Bogosyan, assisted by Mrs. Azniv Salibian and Mrs. Vergine Karabulut, accepted membership dues and counted dues-paid members at the door. Quorum was noted at 68 members present at the opening of the meeting.

Rev. Archpriest Zareh Zargarian and Pastor’s Assistant Rev. Fr. Datev Menengichian were present.

The meeting officers were elected as follows:

  • Chairman – Apet Alpay
  • Recording Secretary – English – Mona Selyan
  • Recording Secretary – Armenian – Madat Mamourian
  • Parliamentarian – Antranig Tchilingirian

Father Zareh delivered Pastor’s Report covering the details of very vibrant activities, plans achievements and milestones of 2012. The Parish Council report, was presented by Chairman Stephan Ekmekjian.  The membership was further presented with a detailed Financial Report prepared by Mr. John Satouri.  

All reports of Auxiliary body Committees in turn were read or presented and accepted.

ELECTIONS All officers’ positions were acclaimed since there were no extra names on the slates of the committees presented.

There were a total of 5 seats to be filled on the Parish Council.  Three current members had submitted their names for re-election, and there were two new candidates.  All the candidates were wonderful choices.

The election results are as follows:

           Rosine Imasdounian

These names are in addition to the Parish Council members listed below, serving their second years of their 2-year terms, making the total number of Parish Council seats 11:

I2In his closing remarks, Bishop Bagrat expressed his appreciation for Father Zareh, Yeretsgin Naira and their children, the Parish Council, office staff and volunteers, Jack Stepanian to the new position of Armenian Community Services Board Chairman, Assembly Chairman Apet Alpay, Secretaries Madat B. Mamourian and Mona Selyan.

The Primate expressed the importance of all members and of all volunteers of this Church, noting that there were only 12 disciples, even though there could have been many more.  He further congratulated all the newly-acclaimed positions.  Bishop Bagrat and Father Zareh closed the Assembly with prayer at 5:50pm.
