On Sunday, April 14, 2013, Primate Bishop Bagrat Galstanian presided over a special Blessing ceremony for all Mothers and also the new parish council members of St. Vartan Armenian Church of Mississauga. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the parish priest Rev. Fr. Myron Sarkissian.
Following the Liturgy, the procession of a group of mothers accompanied by altar servers approached the Holy Altar for the blessing. On this date, it was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the 40th day anniversary of new born child Chanel Kevorkian, a very inspirational, emotional and blessed moment in the life of our parishioners. The newly elected members of the parish council for the year 2013, also were escorted to the alter by the alter servers, and were led by the parish council chairman Mr. Vasken Altounian. His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, Primate congratulated the new members and wished continued success for the parish in the year ahead, for all Mississauga Armenians.
