On October 13, 2017, His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimyan, Primate, accompanied by Rev. Fr. Komitas Mirzakhanyan, Parish Priest of Holy Cross Armenian Church of Laval, participated in the consecration of the Mary Queen of the World Cathedral of the Catholic Archdiocese of Montreal.
This historic celebration, dedicated to the 375th anniversary of the founding of Montreal, and to the 100th anniversary of the last apparition of Our Lady of Fatima to the three children, was presided by His Eminence Archbishop Christian Lépine, Archbishop of Montreal.
Thousands of faithful, including His Worship Denis Coderre, the Montreal Mayor, attended this major celebration of the Catholic Archdiocese.
