Beloved Faithful,
The year 2020 is coming to an end. It is the desire of the soul of every Christian to be grateful and to praise Almighty God for every minute of our lives, for our achievements and for the difficulties we have overcome.
2020 has become a year of unprecedented challenges for the world in general and the Armenian nation in particular.
The situation created by the pandemic disrupted the normal life of the society. From the very first days, the Diocese launched an online broadcast of Divine Liturgies and services to ensure that the faithful can receive spiritual nourishment.
To respond to the humanitarian crisis caused by the explosion that shook Lebanon’s capital Beirut, the Diocese established the Beirut Explosion Relief Fund, and directed donations received to the families of innocent victims through the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
As result of the attack launched in September 2020 by the Azero-Turkish forces, many of our compatriots lost their relatives, children and homes. Others became disabled. Numerous children were orphaned. Countless families destroyed. Thus, it became imperative for the Diocese to establish the Artsakh Humanitarian Fund, to provide support and care for the families of the victims of the Artsakh war, as well as, the wounded or the missing.
It is appropriate to mention that the first part of your generous donations ($250,000 USD), in October, was transferred to the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund through the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
Bypassing the difficult conditions of 2020, the Diocesan Children’s Fund for Armenia (CFFA) did not shy away from reaching out to the deprived children in Armenia and Artsakh, in cooperation with the Diocese of Vayots Dzor.
Through the Diocese’s website and circulars, we regularly inform you about all programs that require great effort and financial support.
Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,
At this crucial moment, it is our national duty to continue to support our compatriots and the Holy Church. Therefore, I appeal to you to support the mission of the Mother Church materially and morally.
We pray to God Almighty to protect and preserve the Children of our Nation with His Divine power, to grant peace to Artsakh and Mother Armenia.
God bless you and your loved ones. Amen.
