In May 2011, Holy Trinity’s Mona Selyan applied for theVolunteer Position – Virtual English Editor, Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Information Services.
Shoghakat Television is planning to post their semi-weekly program on the web for enjoyment by Armenians all over the globe. Mona will be remotely editing translated text from Eastern Armenian to North American English on a tight turnaround schedule, for insertion as subtitles into the video format. Currently, Shoghakat does not have any videos being sub-titled into other languages, so will be a pilot project. By utilizing someone in North America as the Editor, Etchmiadzin will be able to capitalize on the time difference, while one work day is ending, another is beginning.
