His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, Primate paid a short visit to Calgary to celebrate Holy Divine Liturgy and perform the traditional Blessing of the Water ceremony on the occasion of the Armenian Christmas. Srpazan was greeted by the parishioners who had come to attend and participate in the ceremony. His Eminence called upon the children and asked them to participate in the Divine Liturgy by serving on the holy altar.

After the spiritually uplifting atmosphere the congregation gathered in the Church hall to continue the celebratory spirit which lasted late in the evening. Some of the students of the Armenian School of Calgary, under the supervision of Arpine Mloyan, presented a small play and recited some poetry to the thrill of the public.
