The Annual Parish Assembly took place on Monday, March 18, at 7.45pm at the Holy Cross Armenian Church of Laval. The Assembly was presided by the Primate, His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian. The Chairman of the meeting was Mr. Vahakn Arapyan and the secretaries were Armig Demirdjian and Meghedi Aghourian and Hilda Tursucu. The Annual reports of the Pastor, Parish Council, New Church Building Committee, Delegates, Women Guild, Golden Age Committee, Choir, Sunday School and Jn. ACYOC were presented during the meeting.
The Pastor of the Church Rev. Father Komitas Mirzakhanyan expressed his appreciations to Parish Council, Women Guild and all other Auxiliary Committees service, work and dedication and whished them success in all their endeavors.
The Chairman of the Parish Council Mr. Albert Yeghikyan gave a detailed report on the Project of the construction of the new church.. This was followed by the elections of the new Parish Council members, Diocesan Delegatess, Nominating and Auditing commitees. The following members were elected to the new Parish Council for the year of 2013-2014; Armig Ohannessian, Meghedi Aghourian, Raffi Pederian, Krikor Tatoulian, Aris Tutunciyan and Vicken Darakdjian. Diocisan Delegates – Hagop Seraidarian, Audit Committee – Vahan Kazandjian, Gazer Yapar and Vachik Stepanyan, Nominating Committee – Ani Tchavoushian, Najda Moughalian and Hilda Tursucu.
His Eminence closed the assembly with words of encouragement to the Parish Priest, Parish Council, Divan, and Auxiliary committees and entire parish. The upcoming year promises to be one of great challenges that the parish priest and council undoubtedly will strive to meet with the support of their faithful parishioners. The meeting was adjourned with prayer at 11:30pm.
On Wednesday, March 27th, 2013 the newly-elected Parish Council had its first meeting presided by Parish Pastor Rev. Fr. Komitas Mirzakhanyan. Fr. Komitas joyfully announced he had received the approval of the new elections result from the Primate. At the beginning of the meeting the members have elected the new Board for the period of 2013-2014 as follow:

On Sunday, April 7th, 2013 during the Divine Liturgy Bishop Bagart Galstanyan offered special blessing prayer for the newly elected Parish Council members.
On the occasion of the feast of Annunciation to St. Mary, the Mother of our Lord, Jesus Christ which this year was celebrated on April 7th, Fr. Komitas Mirzakahanyan invited the new born children and their parents to take part during special blessing ceremony, following the Badarak. Nine new borns received special blessing following the Divine Liturgy.
We wish that the Virgin Mary always serves as a source of inspiration and example for our mothers, sisters and daughters so that they live their lives with gracious faith and devotion, and adorn their families and our spiritual and national life with the blessings of sincere and kind deeds.
