On November 3, a special Pontifical Blessing service was offered in St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral of Montreal on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of the consecration of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.
Following the Divine Liturgy that was celebrated by Rev. Father Vazgen Boyajyan, Pastor a solemn ceremony was held at the Holy Altar presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Nathan, Locum Tenens of the Armenian Church Canadian Diocese.
During the Pontifical Blessing service, accompanied by the prayers of the faithful, with prayers, sermons and hymns, the clergy wished steadfastness to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and a successful reign to the Catholicos of All Armenians.
Also, St. Vartan Armenian Apostolic Church of Vancouver, British Columbia celebrated the 14th Anniversary of the Consecration of His Holiness Karekin II. On this occasion, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Keghart Garabedian, Deacons Jamil Kevranian, Aris Ghasabian, Sub-deacon Shiraz Kassardjian and acolyte Shant Sarkees and the choir members headed by the choirmaster Mr. Arman Hosepyan, organist Hasmik Hovhannesian, offered “Patriarchal Thanksgiving Prayer” following the sermon (Luke 8.17-21) of the pastor. After the prayer service, the Church ladies guild served coffee and pastry to the congregation at Setrak Kalpakian Hall.
