On March 21, 2015, His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimyan, Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church Canadian Diocese presided over the St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Apostolic Church of St. Catherines Annual Assembly. Mrs. Apet Alpay, Deputy Chairperson of the Diocesan Council participated in the meeting on behalf of the Diocesan Council.
The Assembly discussed reports presented by the clergymen, Parish Council, Diocesan Delegates, Auxiliary Committees, Auditing Committee as well as financial statements. All the reports, as well as the budget for the year 2015 were approved by the Assembly.
During the meeting, Parish Council elections took place with the following results: Mr. Harout Zakarian, Dr. Hagop Mazmanian, Mr. Harout Manoian, Mr. Albert Amato, Mr. Hrant Paroyan, Mr. Hryr Paroyan, and Mr. Ardash Keorhadjian.
Delegates are Mr. Martin Sarkisian, Mr. Harout Manoian, and Mr. Ardash Keorhadjian. Alternate Delegate is Mr. Albert Amato.
In his closing remarks, Bishop Abgar praised the work done within the St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church of St. Catherines.
