On March 22, 2015, His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimyan, Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church Canadian Diocese presided over St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church of Hamilton Annual Assembly. Mr. Ohan Ohanessian, Member of the Diocesan Council participated in the meeting on behalf of the Diocesan Council. Chairman of the day was Mr. Vahag Asatryan, secretary for English language was Ms. Kohar Palvetcian and for Armenian language was Mrs. Silva Keleshian.
The Assembly discussed reports presented by the clergymen, Parish Council, Bible Study group, Sunday school, Diocesan Delegates, Auxiliary Committees, Auditing Committee as well as financial statements. All the reports, as well as the budget for the year 2015 were approved by the Assembly.
During the meeting, Parish Council elections took place and mandates received Ms. Kohar Palvetcian, Mr. Karnik Capadishli, Mr. Mesrop Der-Manuelian, Mr. Vahag Asatryan, and Mr. Hovig Petrosian.
Delegates are Mrs. Ani Shanlian, Mr. Karnik Capadishli,
Alternate Delegate is Armenak Artin.
Nominating committee members are Ms. Kohar Palvetcian, Mrs. Varsenig Papazian, and Mrs. Silva Keleshian.
Auditing committee members are Mrs. Arpi Citak, Mr. Gevorg Papazian, and Mr. Greg Donikian.
In his closing remarks, Bishop Abgar praised the work done within the St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church of Hamilton.
